4Gamer Visits Sanwa Denshi To Check Out Noise Reduced Buttons and Sticks
IPLAYWINNER 28 Jan 2012, 8:49 am CET
There were rumors regarding popular arcade
stick and button company Sanwa Denshi's noiseless hardware for a
while. Recently Japanese website 4Gamer
visited the HQ to check out the new tech they have been
developing.
All the tech they have been doing have been indeed made to reduce noise dramatically. For the joystick, they have individual microswitches with a special harness cable that can connect to regular default Sanwa harness cables through an adapter. The buttons also recieved some upgrades to lower common noise.
Sanwa tested the differences with a Hori stick where they compare stock Hori hardware, the new tech from Sanwa, and stock Sanwa hardware that can be currently bought. Make sure to check out the videos in the link and share your thoughts on it.

Continuing his impressive line of King of Fighters XIII guides, Persona uploaded two videos that revolve around Mature, the ruthless assassin of Team Iori. The first is a combo tutorial that builds from the ground up, providing a solid foundation and moving into slightly more technical strategies to help new players acclimate to her play style. The second is a combo exhibition that highlights some of the more impractical and flashy things an experienced player can pull off.

Capcom Responds to UMVC3 DLC Requests – “It’s Near Impossible Post Release to Add Content to a Title That Wasn’t Planned”
Shoryuken 28 Jan 2012, 4:41 am CET
With the reveal of Bad Box Art Mega Man in Street Fighter X Tekken, some fans have asked for him to make an appearance in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. One user by the name of ACBreaker asked for this on the Ask Capcom forums on Capcom-Unity. Capcom’s Rey Jimenez responded saying:
Interesting, but unless the team planned for him to be in UMvC3 as a DLC character, it would be very hard to do. It’s near impossible post release to add content to a title that wasn’t planned for before the title was released.
That’s sad, because I would have jumped at the chance to put Bad Box Art Mega Man on my UMVC3 team.
This brings up an interesting question though. Consider this together with Seth Killian’s statement that no further UMVC3 DLC is planned at this time. Does this mean that our chances for receiving further UMVC3 DLC are slim to none?

Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown Contest – Name Your Opponent!
Shoryuken 28 Jan 2012, 2:01 am CET
The fine folks over at Sega recently sent us some information on a cool new contest they’re working on for their loyal Virtua Fighter fans. All you have to do is come up with a name for one of the random enemies that appear in Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown’s single-player mode and their tagline before battle, as well as the preferred character you would like them to go up against. This is a fun way to get your name or the name of someone you know in the game if it’s chosen by the developers as one of their favorites. The official blog post has all the rules and regulations you need to know to enter, but be quick, because the deadline is next Tuesday, January 31st.

Is It Laggy or Is It Just Me?
IPLAYWINNER 28 Jan 2012, 2:00 am CET
An interesting video was shown to me about
two boards used in arcade sticks. One of which "Qanba Q4RAF" is
used in all of your sparkling new EightArc sticks. The test
is pretty much to show if there is lag, not between the console and
board, but if one board responds quicker than the other. The person
who did the test is called Toodles who has been around for a while
in the FGC and is the person who owns Godlike Controls a site that
serves in your arcade stick needs and the Cthulhu board being
tested. The boards that are being tested are Qanba Q4RAF and MC
Cthulhu.
Two different tests were done and you can check out both of them and some more information after the jump.
